Good Questions

Frequently asked

Using the app
When does Local Lore launch?

We're building now and launching in Bloomsburg first. Join the early-access list and you'll be the first to know — and the first to walk a tour.

Is the app free?

Yes — exploring the map, directory, events, and the Fair Survival Guide is free. Early-access members get the first audio tours free, too.

Do I need an account?

No. The app works without one. An optional account saves your tour progress and favorite places.

Does it need cell service?

Download a tour before you go and it works offline — handy in the older parts of town and inside the Fairgrounds.

Does it work outside Bloomsburg?

Bloomsburg is home base, with Danville, Berwick, and the rest of Columbia County next. Once we prove it here, we grow it.

For businesses
How does my business get listed?

Every legitimate local business gets a free Community Listing — just reach out. Founding Sponsor tiers run $250 to $2,500 a year and include permanent placement, first position in your category, and your name on the launch. Full details here.

Who's behind Local Lore?

Candice Cotterman — a lifelong Columbia County resident, disabled Army veteran, and full-time caregiver. Read the story.
